Blue Campaign: Wear Blue Day and Human Trafficking Prevention Month 2024

About Blue Campaign

Blue Campaign is a national public awareness campaign designed to educate the public, law enforcement, and other industry partners to recognize the indicators of human trafficking and how to appropriately respond to possible cases. Blue Campaign’s educational awareness objectives consists of two foundational elements, prevention of human trafficking and protection of exploited persons.

Human Trafficking Prevention Month

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Blue Campaign recognizes National Human Trafficking Prevention Month (HTPM) each January to reaffirm their commitment to protect and empower lived experience experts of all forms of human trafficking, prosecute traffickers, and bring an end to human trafficking in the United States and around the world. All month long, Blue Campaign leads several activities to help raise awareness of and combat this heinous crime. I had the honor of working to bring this campaign to life through designs for social media, web, paid media display ads, event flyers, and more.

Wear Blue Day

National Human Trafficking Awareness Day is recognized each year on January 11th. In recognition of this important day, Blue Campaign hosts a social media campaign called #WearBlueDay. To raise awareness of human trafficking, the campaign asks people to take photos of themselves, friends, family, and colleagues wearing blue clothing and share them on social media, along with the #WearBlueDay hashtag.

With the primary concept developed by senior designer Susie Dobberpuhl, I - along with the rest of the team - executed the full design suite of the campaign.
