Overall concept, design, product logo, and illustrations
Designed in collaboration with fellow designer Austin Chapman, this paper wrap came about when we were tasked with finding an attractive, shelf-ready way to display these planters while keeping all their parts secure during shipping.
There are two pieces to the planter - an inner and an outer shell - as well as 10’ of cord, a knob, a screw, and a drywall anchor. The hardware is kept in a groove between the two shells (covered by a slat of the paper wrap) and the natural tension of the wrap when latched at the bottom keeps everything secure, even when you turn it upside down.
The wraps are printed and die cut at Trojan Press in North Kansas City, and were designed by us for WallyGro (now WallyGrow). When finished, we used the look and feel we created here as a jumping off point for a brand refresh.
